50th birthday Art journal Ideas ?

My daughter is turning 50 and I would love to make a journal for her to celebrate her 50 years but Im at a loss as how to tackle it.

I don't want to do each year as it would be massive.
I like Teesha Moore type journals but I don't know how to incorporate photos in it to feel seamless.

I am an artist so would like it to reflect that part of me.
Also I have a zany sense of humour and would love that to show through.

I know its a lot to ask but its like I'm on the edge of a river bank afraid to jump in and begin.
You ladies are all so wonderfully creative any ideas would be so appreciated.

Hi Lori,

this sounds like a fun project and I can see why it may seem a little daunting .. so many possible choices of interpreting and celebrating 50 years of a mother and daughter relationship .

If it was me I would pick a highlight that stood out for me of each decade .. so 5 main themes and maybe create a double spread about those ... maybe a funny highlight... maybe the craziest thing she had done that decade ... maybe the most fabulous time/day/event you spent together that decade etc ...

You could create a double page spread that on one side includes a photo of the actual event/time/day etc ...and on the other side maybe artistically interpret that day/event in a style ala Teesha Moore Art Journaling Zaniness... like a "cartoon versuon" collage or drawing etc

I am putting it out here to see whether anyone else has any fun ideas
