Art Supplies I used :
~ old sweater ( ribbed knitwear works best made with a cotton content for a soft handbag. If you have a wooly sweater then try washing it on a hot cycle in the washing machine first, it will felt the fibres together and give you a more sturdy effect with the stitches no longer unravelling )
~ a piece of vintage lace
~ some color coordinated quilting fabric
~ various lace ribbons and fancy fabric edges and some plain ribbon for the draw string closure of the handbag
~ small beads ( I used crystal beads- Fluorite, Auqa aura quartz and Fuchsite for the top edging and small rose quartz bead and mixed glass bead for the bottom edge)
~ a sewing machine with colored threads
~ handsewing needle /thread

The Second bag in this art video was made from a left over piece of knitting
~ before sewing together I added all sorts of leftover ribbons, fabric snippets, pieces of yearn onto some watersoluble fabric and randomly stitched it together onto the fabric
~ I cut the piece out into a heartshape and then stitched it with a tight zig zag stitch onto the knitted fabric
~ I added layers of different lace on the edging and stitched crystal auqa aura beads onto the edging
