~ I love art journaling and making minuature ATC Art works, it has given me an outlet where i can play with colour, form and texture and creatively express what I might not be able to put into just words or wish to hang on the wall with a canvas

~ When out and about I use a small moleskine notebook for my art journal and I carry some millenium marker pens, a few watercolor pencils and a soft brush to work with ... I love the size of the moleskine, the texture of the paper and the little pocket in the back for storing snippets and ideas

~ Participating in ATC Swaps givs you the opportinity to share artwork with other people on a variation of the same theme

~ Enjoy

~ Here I share with you my personal journey of exploring art viewed through the eye of my soul

~ It may resonate with you and inspire you to try creating art for yourself

~ It may not

~ Either way is perfectly beautiful in its own way

Making Art Journal Pages with Milliande Circle Poem

Art Supplies I used :

~ a photograph printed with inkjet printer onto a sheet of paper and a sheet of non-drying acetate ( i think in america this is called transparency film )
~ golden gel medium
~ white gesso
~ cream acrylic paint
~ brushes
~ bonefolder for burnishing
~ atc's blank pieces of cardstock artist trading card size ( 2.5 "x3.5 ")
I uses a medium strenght of precut ATC;s as well as cutting my own out of mountboard ( with a craftknife and metal ruler)
~ india ink in black
~ ranger acrylic ink dabber in copper
~ calligraphy penholder and nip ( or mapping pen often used for pergamano)
~ blue watercolor crayon

I loved making these ATC's to the Journaling Prompt at the "Paper Trader" group -- Sticks and Stones - Elements of Nature

~ The photograph was taken of one of my woodcarvd root i found with a crystal egg placed in one of the hollows .. then the photograph was printed in various sizes onto paper and acetate

~ The acetate was of the type that does not dry in an inkjet printer so a simple transfer could be made by simply layering it straight onto the ATC
~ Various other acrylic gel medium transfer techniques are explored .. some with success and some definetly more of an "interesting" nature ...
~ But that is half the fun -- exploring, discovering and experimenting with the process ...
