About me:I've recently started doing artwork for people to heighten awareness about blindness.

I have a hereditary condition called Retinitis Pigmentosa.

I currenty have 1% of vision remaining. That can sometimes be confusing to people when they meet me. I have severe night-blindness and almost complete tunnel vision. My central vision can be corrected to 20/30 with glasses which gives individuals with RP the nickname "the sighted blind".

I have been blessed with a talent and will continue working with my artwork until I can no longer see light. I enjoy working with pencil sketching and acrylics and am in the process of including watercolors to my art.

I believe that working with my art keeps my eyes well trained and keeps my spirits high and is a great way to show people that just because I'm legally blind, I am still capable. For detailed information regarding Retinitis Pigmentosa visit www.blindness.org or www.retina-international.org


So in light of that I have set myself an art goal.

My Art GOAL

Before the lights go out and I can no longer do my art, my life's pleasure,
I would like to have a little piece of my artwork all around the globe.

I'm hoping to have at least one ATC in every continent of the globe to raise awareness about blindness.

I need your help in reaching this goal. Join me please by leaving your name and or a friends name and address (including the country please) and I will diligently work to send you and or a friend an ATC with a description of my condition. ( The event is hosted at Milliande Art Community for Women -- to sign up visit there)

There is no deadline for this event. If you would like to send me back an ATC or something like some artsy little stuff to help me keep creating, that would be awesome, but is not required.

All that I ask is that when you receive your ATC that you notify me that you've received it so that I can add your country and city to my list.

It would be great if you could PLEASE use the form below to upload a picture of your received ATC toohttp://www.milliande.com/images maybe if you like of you showing a place where it might be displayed, that would be so inspirational for me :-)

I appreciate all participation as this is a really important goal for me. The more countries the better my list. Who knows? I've been asked if I would write a book about my goal and I may just do it if I reach it.
