~ I am amazed at the beautiful variety of women that have found their way to our Creativity Club-- and the interesting creative avenues each and every one of you are enjoying
~ It occurred to me that one of the unifying elements of all kinds of artists and crafters are " Design PATTERNS" , whether that be in mixed media, needle work , graphic design, painting, lacemaking, doodling, drawing sculpting and 3-D work or whatever our women's choice of creative pursuits --
~ Repetative Patterns are found all art works everywhere --- Design Patterns are used to decorate , to embellish, to zentangle, to be an art work in its own right, to form the base of an art design .. to add a little bit of pizazz ....
~ Inspiration for patterns and design came from a huge variety of sources and sometimes its just a matter of taking a moment to truly SEE, to notice a pattern that occur in your immediate surroundings and take inspiration from there .. ~ So here I would like to propose a Collaborative Pattern Hunt -- lets go in search of patterns that occur local to us on our daily journeys ...

~ Sometimes it just takes a little visual inspiration to get a kickstart and idea of your own or to simly copy what appeals to you
~ Here you can Take a Peek at what is possible -- I took an approach of trying as many different varied art media and interpreted patterns that I found with the "My Pattern Hunt" Creativity Prompt

~ then doodled my patterns from "My Pattern Hunt" into the dress
~ colored the paper doll dress with Twinkling H2O's

*** Drawing an Artist Trading Card ***

~ doodled the borders with inspiration from "My Pattern Hunt"
~colored with watercolor pencils and Twinkling H2O's

~ created a mixed fibre stitched collage on my sewing machine onto watercolor paper
~ added doodles inspired by "My Pattern Hunt" onto the watercolor paper with India Ink and a dipping pen with an extra fine nib

~ I used the image of the colored and doodled in pattern Paper Doll Dress and digitally manimulated it in Paint Shop Pro to create some background tiles
