~ I am amazed at the beautiful variety of women that have found their way to our Creativity Club-- and the interesting creative avenues each and every one of you are enjoying
~ It occurred to me that one of the unifying elements of all kinds of artists and crafters are " Design PATTERNS" , whether that be in mixed media, needle work , graphic design, painting, lacemaking, doodling, drawing sculpting and 3-D work or whatever our women's choice of creative pursuits --
~ Repetative Patterns are found all art works everywhere --- Design Patterns are used to decorate , to embellish, to zentangle, to be an art work in its own right, to form the base of an art design .. to add a little bit of pizazz ....
~ Inspiration for patterns and design came from a huge variety of sources and sometimes its just a matter of taking a moment to truly SEE, to notice a pattern that occur in your immediate surroundings and take inspiration from there .. ~ So here I would like to propose a Collaborative Pattern Hunt -- lets go in search of patterns that occur local to us on our daily journeys ...

The Pattern Hunt Brief
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Find patterns in your immediate environment on your daily journeys
~ Evaluate the patterns for their potential to be included into your artwork
~ Think "Outside your Box" and imagine how your found pattern could be included in another Womens Art project using an art and craft style that may not be yours
The Task:
~~~~~~~~~
~ doodling the essence of 3 of your favourite found patterns into one of the squares in your "My Pattern Hunt" Template ( you can download a template below)
~ make a note underneath each pattern as to where your inspiration came from
~ upload the "My Pattern Hunt" template to the "Collaborative Pattern Hunt" gallery space on the Milliande Creativity Club Website
If you are not a member yet, it is free for Creative Women to Join the Milliande Creativity CLub -- you will find an invite here
~ or post on your blog then post a link in the yahoo group when you have added it ...
Notes:
~~~~~~~
~ PLEASE use only a black pen when doodling your pattern, as this will keep the library uniform and easy to scan
~the emphasis is not on "perfection" but capturing the essence of a design pattern that could inspire you and others when designing an art work or craft project
~ You are welcome to submit more that one complete "My Pattern Hunts" if you get inspired ..the more the merrier and it will add beautifully to our collaborative Art and Design Pattern Library for Inspiration
~ I will assemble a complete Art and Design Library gathered from all submissions and create a gallery space that we can access at all times for inspiration
