Materials I used:


My journal is a file folder journal I bound into a black and white school notebook.

My two page spread was first painted with Golden Fluid Acrylics Cobalt Turquoise and Titanium White.

The circles are recycled copies of zentangles done in 2009 (after I found Milliande's videos!) which were transferred (with varying degrees of success) using Golden Reg. Gel Medium (Semi Gloss) thinned with water.

The 2009 months were from a tiny desk calendar.

I Smooshed Golden Fluid Acrylic Dioxazine Purple into different areas with credit card was spritzed with water and lifted where it was too dark.

Bits of pink show up from a printed colored pencil tangle.

I used Faber Castell Pitt pens in black (fine) and grey (brush)for writing and darkening the tangles, white Sharpie Poster Paint pens for dots and snowflakes. Such fun!

~ I like the idea of recycling or using other artwork in my art journaling too .. from the zentangle video i used the leftover zentangle pattern page as a mixed media collage background for one of my art journal pages ...
