~ Art Supplies used
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I used:
Gesso
Black acrylic
and a variety of Transparent acrylics
and my finger for most of it. :)
Well, this looks much better in person.
The gradient goes from Deep Blue on the outside to yellow inside, but I couldn't get it to photograph right. That's when I added the white line. The spiral does help the colors in the gradient to show up a little bit more but still... :/
No doubt, this will probably be my last journal page in black, at least until I can figure out a better way to photograph it. lol
The message on the page is just a reminder to me to keep my eyes open and my dream alive.
Happily moving on to the next! :)
Thank you for submitting your art journal page
~ It can indeed be difficult to photograph black colour, best done with the flash off and in daylight ...
~ however I like the way the white spiral pops of your art journal page and invites the eye into the deeper darker realm of the midnight blue and the dark black edges... all seems to come across quite well as a tunnel of discovery with the eye being led toward the light ..
~ symbology in art journaling is not so much about " getting it right" but letting oneself resonate with what happens on the page and find the story that is relevant to oneself with exactly what is for me ..
thanks for sharing, happy art journaling
