I wanted to picture myself doing more art this year, thus the theme for my journal this year is Visionary Moments.

A lot of times when I am beginning a project I actually draw a circle in the middle of a piece of paper and write the main theme for what I want to painting or drawing....then I just make lines out from that main circle and write other images and elements that I associate with that.

Pretty soon I have a page full of lines and circles that show me the direction I want my piece to go.

So, I outlined that process in these pages, reminding myself that I want more Visionary Moments in my art this year.

The second page on the right is words that express what I want my art to be about....family, friendships, love, life, protecting the environment, and finding bliss.

I added the statement "not all who wander are lost" to remind myself to try new things.

~ I lke the concept of using circles.. circles of change , circles of no end and no beginning as a start for a new years art journaling page

~ at the center of the circle .. little arms reaching out for that what one wishes to experience... thanks for that symbology

~ I like the way your mixed media background collage effect holds such rich depth .. to me like an emergence out of a pool of possibility
