~ Art Supplies used

Art Supplies:

Watercolors in greens, blue, and yellows
Assorted brushes in various styles/sizes
natural sponge (for blending watercolors)
a sky mandala I printed on paper
a printout picture of Earth from Wikipedia
5" sticker maker
a tree stamp from Inkadinkadoo
dancing girl stamp from Wordsworth/Rubber Soul
Glaze pens in assorted colors
Zig Writer in black

My attempt at the day 3 prompt using a large circle. I used watercolors for the background in 2 shades of green, soft and bright yellow, and blue. For my large circles, I used picture printouts of Earth from Wikipedia, and a printout of my sky digital mandala from our Wisconsin trip for my large circles, cut them out, made them into stickers and added onto the pages.

I added a stamp in the middle of the mandala, and another, dancing girl (she's a stick figure), over the earth. The writing along the edges of the pages is marker and reads: "Discover the beauty in our Earth and let her see the beauty in us." All the rest of the drawing and writing has been done in glaze pens. Around the bottom of the earth in black glaze pen is written: "Discover the dance of Mother Earth; her music is joy..." The rest of the work, the dancer's hair and dress, and flower accents are all done in freehand with glaze pens. I love to dance and enjoyed taking belly dancing classes at our local parks and recs. Hoping to continue when the weather gets nice again. This was such a fun page to do. This page really reflects how I feel when I'm dancing with the group, much like here... women just having fun, enjoying who they are, enjoying a dance in art.

Thank you Milliande for another wonderful prompt.

Thank you for submitting your art journal page

~ enjoying a dance with art--i like that ... as well as the way you interpeted the large circle prompt by adding planetary references... this internet really makes our world soo much more accessible ..all the little nooks and corners our art community members come from ..it continues to amaze me..

~ I like the way you added the swirls on your art journal page to reach out from the earth and playfully dance with the winds of creativity ..

thanks for sharing, happy art journaling
