Art Supplies:

Watercolor paints,
gesso,
stamps
StazOn ink pads
Distress ink pads
Micron fine line pen
colored sharpie markers

I started out with the watercolored background patchwork, then I applied a light coat of gesso over the top to soften the colors. Then I used stamps with Stazon and Distress ink to fill in some of the boxes.
Then I used a fine line Micron pen to doodle and journal in and around the boxes. Lastly I added a few colors (like the hearts) with colored Sharpie markers.
I chose to concentrate on the quilt idea, as I noticed that the page looked like a big quilt to me.
I liked the idea of mentioning what a quilt symbolizes.
