~ Art Supplies used

Art Supplies:

an old map
Distress Ink Pad - Peeled paint
Designer Ink Pad - Yorktown Blue
Stampin Up Pad - Pink Passion
white Gesso
Marvy brush marker
Marvy Reminisce gel pen
Sharpie permanent marker
Bic permanent marker
Gelly Roll pen

I found the silhouette design in goggle search of silhouette images. For some reason I immediately thought of old maps as the cutout for the face. I used ink pads to cover the background but it seemed to dark and the heads sort of blended in. I then used gesso over the inks and they gave it a softer look & helped the heads stand out better. I had an idea that I was going with a traditional travel theme but as it turned out my muse thought Astral travel was more interesting! What fun!

~ It made me giggle... my muse thought astral travel was more fun ..I do agree.. love the way your silhouettes have a sort of vintage doll like quality too it .. and the border is fun to frame the art journal page design ..
