Daler Rowney Watercolors
candles for some wax resist
Distress Ink - walnut stain
Misc. stamps and stamp pads
gel pens

The patchwork was fun. It let me play with my watercolors some more which I'm still getting used to.

I like the look of the stamps on top of the watercolors.

I also got to play with a lot of different color gel pens which was great fun!

~ I had the same feeling, like simply blocking out colours with varying watercolors and paints was fun and relaxing. ... a little bit like a traditional patchwork ..trying out different pieces that might work together to create a pleasing whole

~ I like this technique also for trying out new art journaling pens ... with different patchwork pieces underneath one can doodle and art journal on top to see what works well where ...
