Ahh Milliande, you are taking me on a journey with these prompts;-) When I saw the prompt of burning paper it reminded me of a wierd practice I had read about in a book a few years back.

It is the practice of Agnihotra, where ghee, dried cow dung and brown rice is burnt in a inverted copper pyramid at sunrise and sunset. The practice claims to have beneficial effects on health, the environment and the resulting ash can be sprinkled on the garden as fertiliser.

I wrote the mantras of Agnihotra on pieces of paper and burnt the edges and glued the resulting ash above the copper pyramid.

Thank you for submitting your art journal page

~ glad you are "letting me" take you on a journey... giggle ..I am always suprised what inspiration people take away from my art journaling, often something I never thought about and that makes sharing so much more special... because in turn i get to be taken on a different journey with my own art journal entry ..

~ I enjoy your composition, the way you captured the background with that blue collage paper which sets off the burnt paper and makes it a supporting feature...

thanks for sharing, happy art journaling
