Art Journal Online - Art Journaling by Monika Schmid

~ Art Supplies used

Art Supplies:

black gesso
acrylics
masking tape
gel pen
pitt pen
rubber stamps

The inspiration for this piece came from a report about a dead Queensland Giant Groper, normally found in the ocean, being found in a river. He was 2.2m long and was 37 years old. I was awestruck by the groper when I saw one in the aquarium, it looked so prehistoric.

I made the fish with masking tape and put some folds into the tape on purpose to give it some depth and bulk.

Then I invented a little story to go with my page and added the "ancestral ghosts" fish skeleton stamps.

Thank you for submitting your art journal page

~ I like the ide of inventing a story and taking a local news to make your art journaling soo personal ...

~ I enjoy the way you captured the ancient feel to the dark ocean mysteries

thanks for sharing, happy art journaling
