Front page of my journal- Fairy and Folk Tales Art Journal

On the front page of my Journal I depicted an ouroboros, a snake or dragon biting its own tale encircling the world.

This symbol stands for (among different meanings) as something that constantly recreates itself, the eternal return. I believe that humans have told stories from the beginning of time and will continue to do so for as long as we keep breathing. Stories might change slightly in style and theme but I don't believe humans can exist without stories.

I have used various media for this page, teabags to get the aged look of the paper, inks, pens gel pens, stamp pads, stamps, acrylics and pastels. I have used beeswax to seal it all in.

I have attached a seperate little booklet that is my introduction to myself and my theme.

When the journal eventually makes its way back home to me I will make a more robust cover for it.
