Gabby's Contribution to Monika's Art Journal

This delightful journal is crammed full of beautiful works of art and it has been a delight and priviledge to work in it.

My first choice of fairy tale would have been Rapunzel as I dreamed of being like her when I was a girl.

Not of being locked in a tower of course but of having beautiful hair that reached down to the ground. Sharon beat me to it with her beautiful Rapunzel page.

My second favourite tale is that of Sleeping Beauty so I interpreted the story in Monika's book.

I made a mini book to tell the tale, painted Beauty, the prince and the wicked fairy,in soluble wax pastels and acrylic, stamped some background detail and collaged the roses.

It is too wide for me to scan the whole page with the flap open so the pictures show sections of the pages. The wording says: 'Never under estimate the power of a kiss'
