Gabby's Entry In Louise's Sacred Feminine Art Journal

It was a pleasure to look through this journal,and to feel it as it has lots of interesting textures on the pages.
I interpreted the theme of Sacred Feminine by referring to the strong female icon of the Catholic Church,the Virgin Mary. I typed and printed words from traditional prayers to Our Lady and pasted them to the pages for a simple background. I added colour, particularly sky blue which is strongly associated with the Blessed Virgin and a picture of Mary herself. I finished with an acetate overlay with the definition of Mother printed on it.
