How to Alter a Photo

~ Altered art is a broad term that encompasses many styles
of art.
~ In general it means altering an object that is mundane or utalitarian and transforming it into a piece of art

~ Items that are often altered are books, vintage ledgers, bottle caps ,journals, shadow-boxes and clothes

“What is an altered book?”
An altered book is a often a book that's been recycled and repurposed for altered art projects . Unloved and rescued books are artfully transformed by gluing, painting, collaging, rubber stamping, cutting, transferring , drawing, gessoing ripping, adding pages,
tearing, or any other means of embellishing the page .
