Jumprings from Soldered Wire NEW
by: Anne

Milliande's ideas in her link are great.

I would like to add that I usually just use two jewelry pliers to open the link (sideways as Millliande suggests) and then close very neatly.

This is usually quite secure. I have also used solder-filled wire to make rings from, then soldered them closed using a torch.

This is when I join rings with each other. To add a charm or some element with a ring though, you don't want to use a torch for fear of ruining the charm.

Soldering Flux NEW
by: ♥ milliande

Thanks for submitting your Mixed Media Art Question .. hope that it helps you get your jumprings attached neatly ..

For me the trick is definetly in the bending them the right way to open in the first place... as that keeps their shape in place.. also try looking out for slightly larger sized jumprings that are easier to solder
