Art Journaling for me is a way of experimenting among the pages of my various journals, playing with different art materials , trying out sketching pens in my moleskine art journal, scraping mixed media art syle in my large square wet proof paper journal or simply scribbling a few ideas here in ther whilst tearing some collage pieces and sticking them into my junk journal ... there really is no hard and fast rule ..no " This is the Way you are Journal " and " That is NOt the way art journaling goes " ..basically it can be anything YOU choose it to be... so whether a watercolor travel sketchbook makes your heart sing or a grunged up junk journal ... anything goes... there is no room for fear ...it is only paper that awaits your muse...
We had such fun with Art Journal January that we are hoping to continue in a similar way throughout february ... albeit with a weekly theme rather than a daily one...and maybe a video or 2 if I get the time to play ..but mostly our artist women have expressed the wish to play with a theme together, to learn from each other, to communicate ...s o this is what we'll do .. So for now we are starting a series of art journal prompts called " Inspired By " ..and we shall choose either a famous artist or a contemporary artist whos style catches our eyes to play with ... lets see where it leads us
