Louises work in Milliande's Connections Art Journal

I have really enjoyed connecting with this beautiful journal.

Initially I had planned on a working with cut out dolls, joined at the hands, connecting women across the world, but I found someone else had been inspired by the same idea, and produced a beautiful page, so I needed another one.

I chose to work on the theme of the umbilical cord, that very special connection between mother and child, and then continued on with that special connection between mother and child.

I used all manner of mixed media, working on different surfaces and using different techniques. Some of the supplies I used were scrap booking paper, mat board, embossing, watercolour crayons, collage, acrylics, and I printed an image onto old book pages.
