Milliande Bazaar - Altered Art, Knitted Scarves and Mixed Media Art Supplies in Sweden - @ Tuesdays with Tina Store
by Tina Nilson
I make banners out of 70 year old fabric from the military, sew it, stamp letters that the customer wants on it and put ropes that smells ocean (made with tare) from ships through it to hang on.
Milliande Bazaar - Introducing Altered Art, Knitted Scarves and Mixed Media Art Supplies in Sweden @ Tuesdays with Tina Store

When I saw Milliande's Art Journaling in January this year- she woke me up from my dark years where I had felt selfpity.
You see, I was the crazy swede who invented and marketed the idea of personalized PhotoStamps.
First in Sweden- then all over the world. Until the competitors and the internet and the fact that we had sold out to investors - made me bankrupt.
Laying in bed- I just pressed YouTube with NO clue what to find- And there she was. The music. The comforting movements of a happy soul, freezing- but joyful- OH, after that I could'nt wait to get up in the mornings again!
So, I started my own little altered journal and soon realized I wanted everything Milliande had. And Tim Holtz. AND Claudine Hellmuth...
I Began saving every penny from march until august- then invested in all the papers, photo-carousells and inkpads that I could afford from the 7gypsies, Ranger and Stamper Anonymous.
AND- here I also sell my handmade things. It´s knitted scarves, or what you call them in english- that keep you warm in the winter.
And three-3- weeks ago, my son helped me opening up my very own little swedish web-shop:
( I also claimed the name www.tuesdayswithtina.com - but haven´t yet pursuaded the now so irritated son to help me activate that one)
So, dear, sweet Milliande, please choose one and I´ll send it to you right away! I´m so, so grateful to you and your warm community with women who supports each other. Because like one of my competitors in the end said to me on a CHA in New York: "There´s room for everybody". Hard to accept then, but oh so true. It´s such a big world and even though I only had one-1- customer in these three weeks- I´m happy to have realized that I may be artistic- do what I love, write and doodle, and that there´s probably a place for me where I truly want to be. Being a beginner and almost 50. I refuse to listen to my dissapointed spouse who´d rather I´d work with something that brings in the money. I´m teased by my sons who think I should call my work "Chocolatemodpodging"... I do hope that I´ll find a way to make a living out of this. Since my dream is to finally start enjoying this life again. Thanks to Milliande and you supportive women- I´m so excited again. Every morning!
So- naturally- should you find something you like in my shop- just say you´re from this community and I´ll give you one free piece of paper with what ever else you´d like to order...
