Mixed Media Art Journals Online - Art Journal January Day 24 - Hand Carved Stamps

Mixed Media Art Journal Online - Art Journaling Pages by Letha Richardson

~ Art Supplies used

Art Supplies:

Hand carved stamps in the background
StazOn inks
magazine clipping
punchinella (sequin scrap)
Artquest artist cement light
alcohol inks
charcoal pencil and smudge stick
fine line sharpie

I started with a background of swirls (hand cut stamp)then put down the magazine clipping, then the wings (also hand cut)then I set a piece of punchinella down, and applied a light coat of artist cement over the top, then removed the punchinella, to give it a nice textural look and feel.

Then I took a swab, and applied smears of alcohol ink in two colors, to give it a colorful look. I then stamped the journaling lines over the top of the magazine clipping, and traced around the girl with a charcoal pencil and then blended with a smudge stick. Finally I added some text.
I am still trying to stick with my positive self affirmations, and working toward finding the best things in my ordinary life.
