Sacred Feminine Art Journal

Entry into the Art Journal by Monika
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's what I did in Louise's journal.
My inspiration came from the poem "The Thunder: Perfect Mind" from the Nag Hammadi Library.
The contrasting statements of the poem inspired me and perfectly describe (for me) the sacred feminine.
The 3 flaps of the girl open to reveal verses from the poem which reveal a painting of Isis (of whom it is thought the poem refers to) which in turn opens to reveal another verse from the poem and a collaged golden reflective background in which the viewer can see herself reflected and ponder her own sacred femininity.
