Surreal Art Journal Travel Cover

Here is my journal, ready to set sail around the world.

This is the first time I have stitched a book. I have made lots of books but always bound them with ribbon, bookrings or my trusty Bind It All.

I used Fabriano Artistico watercolour paper (HOT Press) and reinforced the spine with masking tape. I covered the journal with scrapbook paper and the closure is velcro.

When the journal comes home I will recover with a hardback, harder wearing cover. Once I got over the fear I really enjoyed making this journal and plan to make lots more.
