I haven't played with pan pastels either, but I hear they are fabulouso! Easier to use and they don't have to be sprayed to set. Gotta love that.

I have seen the pan pastels and not been tempted yet .. giggle.. I guess it would be fun to try and see what they are like .. i imagine the drying time might be a bit increased to allow for the various blending techniques.. hmm ... will have to invesigate ..
