Mixed Media Artists Wishlists
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gifts for Artists ...here is Kirsten's List
1. Caran d'ache Neo Color ll Artist Crayons: A reasonable set to get started with...I am obsessed with different media, and haven't tried these yet.
2. Copic Sketch Markers: A variety of fun colors to use in art journaling and various other art endeavors. I've heard they are the best!
3. Pilot Parallel Calligraphy Pen Set: Since I was a little girl I've loved the artform of lettering/calligraphy and would like to incorporate this into my art.
4. 32 oz Jar of Golden Soft Gel Medium I've just started experimenting with Collage and am amazed at the doors that it has opened for me...
5. Subscription to Somerset Studio Paper Arts and Mixed Media or any back issues of Apprentice, Workshop, Artists Cafe, Artful Blogging or Digital Studio. I am so inspired by visuals and hands on practice and I want to learn it all! I'm overwhelmed by the desire to learn, and books/magazine subscriptions is the affordable alternative to real life workshops.
6. Subscription to Cloth Paper Scissors
7. A set of quality essential paint brushes suitable for watercolor and mixed media.
8. A Moleskin Journal that I can use for art journaling. So far I've only tried it on a recycled book that I paint Gesso on the pages, and they don't hold up too well to wet media.
9. Any brand Artist Quality Heavy Bodied Acrylic: A variety of fun colors
10. Wacom Cintiq 12wx Graphics tablet/display
Arty Destination: It is my dream to take part in Artfest 2010 in nearby Port Townsend, Washington. Or a similar type workshop. I learn best by hands on experience, but can't afford the large pricetag!
I also would love to make some "Artist Friends". My friends appreciate my art, but I don't know anyone who is an artist, or who gets as excited about creating art as I do, and I don't think anyone could understand the passion unless they have that same passion!
I Wish, I Wish for This, This and This...Dreaming is Bliss!
My Blog (just started it) http://artenvy.wordpress.com/
Blessings to all! And thank you for this opportunity to dream!
