I agree, there should be one on each coast! I have to admit though, coming here feels like a daily journalfest to me. Good Luck! -janeen

thanks for the comments! by: Allison Balcerak
I will have to check out the prices on those cheaper book binding machines!
As for traveling on the ground, I live on the east coast (Maryland) and it's a mighty far way from Journalfest lol. But I have taken the train before to TN (14 hour ride) and I have met a lot of interesting and kind people along the way. I think if I had a traveling partner I'd make the pilgrimage to Journalfest. But we really need something similar to it on the east coast!

Binding machine by: Janeen Duer
I've actually been drooling over that at the Staples here in town, though the colors on the linked one looked different to me. I thought it was a great way to bind books with a reasonable investment in equipment. Was thinking of leaving my name with someone at the copy desk too in case someone came in looking for that service and they couldn't do it.... but alas, ours does something.

Binding machines by: ruth
Great minds travel the same paths - I was just checking on the prices of binding machines too - I found five at this link - two are under $200 - the $ 80 one might be enough for me - see what you think:
The journal fest sounds wonderful, but I'm plane shy too. Buses and trains are always interesting, great time to let ideas mull, and opportunities for inspiration there and back.... Sounds fun! Good luck. -janeen
