Gifts for Artists ...here is Johoanna's List

1. Ashford Wild Drum Carder - I am sick of using hand carders and I want to make some nice batts to spin up and to sell

2. "Altered Art Projects" by Jill Haglund - because there is no such thing as rubbish.

3. "Art Doll Adventures" by Lisa Li Hertzi - because, a) she's an amazing doll artist, and b) I want to become more free with my doll making.

4. "Collage Unleashed" by Traci Bautisa - because, a) she's an amazing mixed media artist, and b) I want to become un-afraid to use colour in my artwork.

5. Class at joggles.com - Tresure Nests with Tammy - because these are cute and you can never have too many handmade stuff, and handmade places to put that handmade stuff.

6. Set of Copic Markers - these are really good markers (perfect for journalling) and hard to get here in Australia.

7. Set of Allison Strine Collage Sheets by ARTchix Studio - I love her sense of whimsy in her artwork

8. Paper Designs by Crafty Secrets - Classic - they are beautiful papers, perfect for ATCs and journalling.

9. Assortment of German Scrap Papers (especially the blue and pink ones) from ARTchix Studio - great for adding that extra something to a project

10. "Creative Ways with Books and Journals" by Sue Bleiweiss and Terri Stegmiller - lots of books, but they are expensive here and I don't buy many. I tend to buy magazines when I can find them. Two artists whose work I adore.

My Arty Destination choice is Nimbin, here in NSW, Australia. It is a small township of some 600 people. It is a community built around art and alternative lifestyles. I found the picture on Flickr and it is of the Nimbin Museum. I'm hoping to get there someday as I've heard so many good things about it.
