Pen nib for Art Journaling

Mixed Media Art Questions

I've just started using your art prompts for 2010. What kind of pen nib do you use? It seems to write so smoothly! Thank you Milliande!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hi ,
I am glad you are enjoying our art journal prompts, i look forward to seeing some of your pages..
with nib I presume you are referring to the pen and ink nib I use... mine actually came from an italian calligraphy art supplier that makes nibs and handles for traditioanl calligraphy
I bought it on an art visit to florence and love the way it writes so beautifully on all kinds of mixed media surfaces..
The name of the pack I got is " Giovanni Riela Artigianato Italiano"
They produce a beautiful range of nibs and holders with carved shapes that lay comfortably in the hand when writing..
I use the nib with acrylic ink from Raler Downey or India Ink either permanent or watersoluble depending on the effect I am after..
hope this helps
