Sacred Feminine Art Journal Entry

Sacred Feminine Art Journal Entry

I started by reading about the subject Sacred Feminine, I then decided to create a tree to represent life, the sacred feminine and the goddess of creation. As I feel trees are an important part of nature and life.

I made a tree with the trunk in the form of a feminine shape out of a felted wool and then made branches reaching out as though they were outstretched arms, these were made out of a knobbly wool representing knotted bark, and onto the that I added leaves cut out of green felt to depict new growth and being nurtured.

The background was a landscape of hills painted in soluble water colour crayons. I then added a couple of symbols that represented the Maiden, Mother and Crone, I also added some wording representing my interpretation of what the Sacred Feminine means to me.

I hope that my entry will inspire others as I was inspired by their entries.

Thank you for letting me be a part of this wonderful art journal project. I have truly enjoyed it.

Hugs Helen
