by Unni Hoff

Mixed Media Art Questions for Milliande

Cannon inkjetprinter MP 600

Transperancie: 3M,CG 3460

When the image was transfered onto fabric(plain cotton) it turned out greenish. The original was in black/white.

Do you know what caused this change of colour?

Do i need a transperency from another company to solve problem with my printer CANNON MP 600?

~ I am not familiar with that particular printer... but I know that some transparencies and printout can leave a greenish tint from the residue of the ink tat has been used..

~ usually cheaper printers that use dye based inks have a colour cast on the images.. sometimes that can be adjusted with the settings in your photo editing program ..but more often than not..when using the image on a transperency or as a gel medium transfer... the inks that sit on top are first to transfer and can leave a greenish or bluish cast ...or a smudged black/grey one

~ you could try switching to a pigment based printer, the epson brand uses a particular brand of high qulaity inks that are pigment based and colorfast ...ie so colors wont fade easily

hope this helps
