I use several different Sharpie fine point pens, brand new Pentel Stylo, and Pitt pens for color work.
I zen-doodle, -tangle, and zendala everywhere - at work , at home, watching TV, waiting for appointments, even in the car when stalled by a downed tree.
Thank you for sharing your Zentangle Pattern Sampler

~ Ruth's favourite pens for making zentangle patterns are
Sharpie Fine Point Marker
These Sharpie Fine Point Markers write on almost anything with bright, lasting color! The Sharpie Fine Point Marker has a tough, resilient 0.5 mm tip. Permanent ink is fast drying, quick flowing, and resists water. That makes them really fun to use on zentangle surfaces other than paper .. like found beach pebbles, old cd crafts are revived by a few zen doodle lines and all can be coloured in with watercolors too.

Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens
These come with
Pigmented India Ink in multiple nib sizes and 48 colors .. the favourite for zendoodle colouring being black and sometimes sepia . These Doodle Pens bring great versatility to pen-and-ink drawings requiring lots of intricate details. Pitt Artist Pens are great for sketching, journaling, cartooning, and drawing. The Superfine, Fine, Medium, and Brush nibs not only replace ink bottles — they’re instantly available for work.
What is great about these drawing pens is that the ink is waterproof, unsurpassably lightfast, acid-free, and pH-neutral. That means if you want to watercolour your zentangle drawings the ink will not run and stay as an outline ready to be filled in
